Tree Hill, the town of lies, heartbreak and pain. Even though it might seem small, it’s big enough for the trouble that our gang often experiences. A lot has happened last year, and a lot is bound to happen this year again. You better fasten your seatbelt, people...[/align]
Lucas Scott still hasn’t told anyone about his HCM all summer long, but now that it’s ending and practice is starting up again, will he be able to keep up with the rest? And when will this secret of his come out? During the summer, Lucas spent a lot of time with his friends, even meeting a girl named Georgina Andrews, who’s new and just moved to town from Raleigh. But she knows about his history with a certain curlyhaired blonde which makes her quite insecure if not jealous, even though there’s nothing going on between Lucas and said girl. However, he does still seem to have feelings for someone else, but who would that girl be?
Nathan Scott has just come home from High Flyers and his divorced is being finalized now. He moved back in with his mother and now it’s not going so well with the Ravens co-captain. He feels that the pressure on the basketball team is bigger than ever, and remember those performance enhancers he took last year? Well, he becomes addicted to them again because he wants to be the best one on the team. It starts up slowly at first, but soon, Nathan can’t stop anymore. Luckily, he does have a good friend by his side, but she doesn’t know about any of this. How will this whole thing end for him?
Brooke Davis spent her summer in California, but after three months, she returns home. She obviously didn’t forget what happened before she left town. Lucas, the boy she used to be so head over heels for told her he wanted to be with her again, but all she could do was look shocked and flustered. That confession did do something to the brunette, though. She feels unable to commit herself to the boy she once dated and so she tells him she’d rather stay friends with him. But her good friend Nathan seems to be needing a friend right now too because his divorce just got finalized and Brooke decides to be there for him, the two getting closer in the process, but nothing happening... Or will something happen afterall?
Peyton Sawyer is still very busy with her art and club Tric where she works. Before the summer, she was left behind by the boy she loved so fiercely, but he had no other choice but to leave town because the life of his daughter was pretty much in danger. Peyton couldn’t go along, no matter how much she wanted to. But it seems like she gets some company at Tric. Before she dated Nathan, Peyton was with Evan Daniels, a guy who was slightly older than her and now he gets a job as a bartender at the club. Since the two spend a lot of time again, it just so happens that sparks fly again...
Haley James is finally home from her tour. But the only difference now is that she’s not married anymore. Nathan wanted a divorce and what other choice did she have but to sign the papers? But people in town and at school are still bitter towards her. Some might be jealous, others may be mad, in any case, it’s not how she wanted it to be. Especially not when she’s being accused of starting the fire at Dan Scott Motors. She didn’t do it, but she can’t prove that she didn’t. Her ex husband still won’t talk to her, though, but she still tries to get herself back into his life. Will it ever come out that Nathan was the one who started the fire? That her best friend Lucas was the one who saved his dad? And will Haley be able to help Nathan with his addiction before it’s too late?
Jacob Jagielski has lost his daughter to his ex and biological mother of his little girl. This leaves him going straight back to Tree Hill, trying to get his life back together so he can show the judge he can be a good parent, doing well for himself, but it doesn’t help when new girl Rachel Gatina keeps trying to seduce the teenage daddy, having set her sights on him. And how will the person from social services react when they visit Jake the morning after he hooked up with the redhead while completely drunk? Doesn’t really give a good impression, does it?
