One year has passed since the Grey Warden's victory over the Blight, and the nation of Ferelden has finally begun to rebuild what was lost. Many have paid the ultimate price for the greater good, but the heroes who stood out foremost against the threat are still amongst their people. The Grey Wardens, the proud yet quiet protectors of Ferelden, had shown the world once again their might and gallantry, and never again would their valor be forgotten.
Aedan Cousland of Highever, the Warden whom united Ferelden against the Blight faithfully remains with the Grey Wardens as their leader, while Alistair has taken the throne as King. With plans for reconstruction underway, the King and the Warden have taken up the cup of their predecessors, and have set about seeking the most capable individuals to rebuild the Grey Wardens to protect their weakened land of Ferelden from harm.
Turmoil, however, seems a common theme in all corners of Ferelden. The City elves face persecution at the hands of the human discrimination, despite the work that has been done for racial equality since the Blight. Similarly, the Dalish are still feared based on the human's imprinted and ignorant fear of the elves; their numbers, too, have dwindled after brushes with roaming groups of remaining Darkspawn.
The Circle of Magi have been slowly rebuilding their ranks and reputations following the disaster there. Subsequently, however, the mages faced higher restrictions from the Chantry and the Templars than ever before. Meanwhile, underground in the dwarven city of Orzammar, the rule of King Bhelen and his new policies have been faced with controversy. Additionally, after the end of the Blight, the majority of remaining Darkspawn retreated underground, leaving the dwarves to contend with their increased numbers.
Despite the victory over the Blight, Ferelden is still a land in turmoil, with only the Grey Wardens to unite and protect it. Who will rise among the few to carry the torch and see Ferelden returned to her former glory? Who will join the Grey Wardens in their long vigil?

Warden's Vigil is a brand new roleplaying community set in the world of Thedas one year following the Fifth Blight. There are still a lot of opportunities for canon characters to be played, and a lot of opportunity to explore where the story goes from here. I would be happy to answer any questions, so if you have any please post below!
