Name of RPG- The Throne of Stars
URL- games.groups.yahoo.com/group/throneofstars/
Mini-Banner- none
Type- Science Fiction/Fantasy Cross Genre
Diffculty- Moderate- players will need to be aware of the political and religious situation as well as the good old fighting/magic that goes on.
Plot, if any- More will be filled in once players join up. SUffice it to say there is the great need to run, fight, and discover. Note that there are several distinct political, religious, and racial factions involved.
The Gods conspire amongst themselves, against each other, and against
mortals everywhere, unleashing the hordes of their followers upon the
Mortal Plane in a desperate bid to sieze one powerful artefact.
Men ply the stars in great starships, fighting wars with aliens bent
on domination or destruction. Religion abounds, and faith in the Gods
keeps men sane; new religions spring up daily, but none so powerful as
the Church of the Aeon or the Panethic Cult.
On the fringe of the Supremacy of Men, beyond Rim Alpha the Aeshir
holdings collapse amidst a clan war that promises to raise a warfleet
greater than any the Men have fought yet.
And there, whispered in the darkness, the name Chalyotan is muttered,
half in awe, half as a curse. This race, thought to be extinct, might
just be preparing to return.
Priests break the laws of the universe, wielding more power than
mortal men should; politics threatens to crumble the Supremacy from
the inside, and war from the outside. Rebellion is rife; priacy
commonplace. The Supremacy Warfleets smash aside resistance, only to
find it resurgin elsewhere. Mercenary companies are hired to protect
anything of value.
And through it all, one man is swept up on a mythic quest to find
something that everybody wants. The Throne of Stars, the power to
become a God. His fight for survival is just beginning, and through
the fires of wars, rebellions, politics and faith it will continue.
Will you join his journey?
Other-Not much. Play by email via Yahoo Groups. Game as of yet has no players, as it is literally brand new. However, once players show up the game will begin.
